Bio
I was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. When I was growing up, my family divided their time between Little Rock and the Arkansas Ozarks. I received my MFA in Creative Writing from Washington University in St. Louis.
Currently, I live in Utah with my husband and our two sons. I’m the author of two novels, The Possessions (Harper, 2017) and Girl One (MCD/FSG, 2021), with a third novel forthcoming from MCD. My shorter work has appeared in publications including The Guardian and LitHub.
I love: weird mysteries, long walks, Kate Bush, ghost stories, Shirley Jackson, Sour Patch Kids, the smell of rain on a hot day, bad puns, and reading in bed.
I truly love meeting with book clubs, so please reach out if yours is interested!
